Tips to Make your Spring or Fall Cleanup Service Go Smoothly!

Want to ensure your spring or fall cleanup service is handled as efficiently as possible? Here are a few have simple tips we give homeowners to help them prepare the property and save time.

1. Clean Leaves from Turf and Bed Areas Multiple Times

Leaves are easier and faster to gather before they settle into bushes or get stuck to the ground due to rain and cold weather.

Around Thanksgiving
Christmas time

2. Schedule Service Before Putting Leaves at the Curb

Whenever possible, call to schedule at least one day prior to placing your leaf pile at the curb. This allows us to vacuum the pile before it settles, making the process faster and more cost-effective.

3. Keep Leaves Out of Ditches or Standing Water

Never place leaves in a ditch or curb with running or standing water. Wet leaves significantly increase vacuum time and can raise the cost of removal. Allowing the leaves to remain dry and less dense makes the process efficient and saves our team time on your property.

4. Remove Sticks, Rocks, and Other Debris

These items cannot pass through our vacuum and must be removed beforehand. If needed, we can remove sticks and debris during the cleanup, but they should be kept separate from the leaf piles to avoid equipment issues.

5. Keep Curbside Piles Short in Length

Whenever possible, stack your leaf pile taller rather than longer. This helps reduce the need for excessive truck movement, saving both time and money.

6. Ensure Easy Access for Our Truck

Our truck is equipped with a side-mount vacuum, designed to pull alongside a leaf pile—not back up to it.
The vacuum hose is only 6 feet long, so piles should be as close to the curb as possible.
Please avoid placing leaves under low-hanging branches or power lines. Our trucks require at least 12′ 6″ of clearance.
